Binghamton, NY – February 12, 2025 A heartbreaking loss has struck the City of Binghamton, as a dedicated member of the Binghamton Fire Department tragically lost their life while battling a 3-alarm fire in downtown Binghamton last night. In addition to this devastating loss, two other firefighters sustained injuries and are currently in stable condition at Wilson Hospital. Authorities, including the Binghamton Police Department and New York State Fire Investigators from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services , have launched an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire.
